Waif Wednesday

Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our three fabulous Waifs of the Week: Nutmeg, Daffodil, and Westin. These three lovebugs can’t wait to find their forever families!

Hi there, my name is Nutmeg! I am pretty excited to be here at Wayside because the people are so nice and they tell me I will find a family here real soon!

I am about 40 pounds of awesomeness.  I am a great age at 2 1/2 years old.  I can be a little unsure and shy at first, but if you go slow and give me a little time to warm up to you, I will be your best buddy for life. I am sweet and gentle and love to take nice strolls around the trails here. I enjoy yummy treats and soft pets, I also am SMART.  I know how to sit and shake already. Maybe you can help me learn some more cool things?

If I sound like the perfect pup for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Nutmeg

Thanks so much for reading about me! My name is Daffodil. It suits me because, like the flower, I am very pretty! When I came to Wayside, I was raising three kittens. My foster mom said I was an excellent mother to them. Now, my babies are ready to go out into the world on their own, and so am I. I’m ready to enjoy life being my special person’s baby.

I’m a smart, curious, cautious cat. I enjoy people and attention, but it takes me a while to feel comfortable around someone new. When you meet me, I ask that you please be patient and let me make the first move. When I come over to you, pet me gently down my back to break the ice. Ahh … that feels nice! Here at Wayside, one thing I’ve discovered that I really enjoy is watching bird videos on the internet. Maybe we could watch some together on your phone sometime. Or, maybe we could watch real birds together through a window.

If I sound like the perfect kitty for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Daffodil

Hi everybody, I’m Westin! I just rolled in on a transfer when my last place ran out of room. I am really happy to be at Wayside so I can find a family to love for life!

As you can see by my pics. I am very handsome but I have MANY awesome qualities about me! I am 6 1/2 years young and have a lot of pep in my step! I already know the commands “sit” and “down!” I recently became part of the Waif Runners program here at the shelter. My handler says I am on the green list (which is great!), and that I have a nice pace and love to trot along.

I am a larger boy at around 100 pounds, but don’t worry I can still fit on the couch, your bed or a soft recliner if you wouldn’t mind that. I have a gentle mouth when taking treats and walk nicely on leash, although I do get excited at times. My favorite thing to play with here at tennis balls, so hopefully we can stop and pick some of those up on our way home!

If I sound like the perfect pup for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Westin

Waif Wednesday

Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our paw-mazing Waifs of the Week: Florence, Marcella, and Jaime. These three cuties can’t wait to find their people!

Hi there, I’m Florence! I’m sweet, affectionate, happy, and fun, and I’ll be a wonderful companion if you’ll just give me the chance. I’m a 2-year-old beauty with a smile that brightens up the room. I came to Wayside as a transfer from another shelter that was running short on space. I’ve settled in pretty nicely here at Wayside, and I love all the new friends I’ve made!

I walk great on my leash with minimal pulling, and getting out to enjoy the fresh air is my favorite thing. I’m also a great runner! After my exercise, I enjoy relaxing or playing with my toys—I really dig playing my toys! I’m playful and silly and I like to have a good time. I’m already super smart, and with my food motivation, I’m a great candidate for training. If you bring a tasty treat when you come to meet me, I’ll be happy to patiently sit for you!

If you have other dogs, I will need to meet them before we go home together. I’m friendly and not reactive with most dogs that I meet, but others I might not want to play with. I guess it’s the same way for humans!

Life is so much sweeter when it’s shared with someone you love, and I want to share mine with you. If I sound like the perfect pup for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Florence

Thanks for reading about me! My name is Marcella. As you can see from my picture, I’m an adorable white kitty with darling black spots. When I came to Wayside, I was a young mother raising six tiny kittens! We were fortunate to live with a foster family until my babies were old enough to make their own lives in the world. Now, it’s my turn to be somebody’s baby!

I’m a friendly kitty with a great meow who loves attention. I also love to play, too. I sure hope my new people like to play! The Felineality assessors here at Wayside describe me as a Leader of the Band, scoring high in valiance in sociability. In other words, I’m a bold, confident cat who loves people. You will never be bored or lonely with me around!

I love playing, meeting new people, just hanging around (when I’m in the mood), but most of all, I love being the boss. I’ll probably designate a corner of the house as my own, but I’ll still want to spend lots of my time with you! If I sound like the perfect kitty for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Marcella

Hey there! I’m Jaime, a 3-year-old social and friendly fella in search of a home of my very own.

These are some of the words the folks here at Wayside use to describe me: sweet, friendly, social, and playful. See a pattern there? I just LOVE being around people and enjoy getting lots of attention and affection. I’m a happy boy with an exuberant smile that will brighten even your gloomiest day. I’m not the kind of guy who will be satisfied just hanging out by myself all the time. I prefer to stick right by your side and share all my love with you.

Do you have other dogs at home? My sociability extends to other canines too. I’ve got great doggie manners and coexist well with other pups. I’m also relaxed on a leash and would love to take walks with you. Maybe we can go for daily walks around the neighborhood? Or, if you’re as adventurous as me, we could go on some short hikes, or maybe even try out a dog park!

Moving from shelter to shelter can really be challenging for a social boy like me. I’m hoping my new people will be patient with me as I learn to settle down and adjust to life in my home. Won’t you give me a chance to be yours? If I sound like the perfect pup for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Jaime

Waif Wednesday

Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our wonderful Waifs of the Week: Apollo, Kitty, and Emerald. One of our original Waifs of the Week, Toby, got adopted, so Emerald is happily taking his place. These three cuties can’t wait to find their people!

Hi folks! I’m Apollo, a handsome five-year-old guy in search of a safe place to land. I was transferred here when my previous shelter ran out of space for me. All this change can be a little scary, but I know it’ll all be worth it when my family finally finds me.

The people here at Wayside say I’m a sweet fellow and a perfect gentleman.  I’ve got beautiful leash skills and will stay right by your side when we go for walks together. I really enjoy exploring hiking trails and sniffing all the wonderful smells and fresh air in the great outdoors. I’m also an excellent running partner! I’m smart and already know the commands “sit,” “lay down,” and “shake,” and I would love to find a home that will continue to train and teach me. Maybe we could join a class together?

I can’t wait to be your new dog! Won’t you please come meet me soon? Be sure to bring any other canine kids along to be sure we’re all a perfect match.

Love, Apollo

Who’s black and white and beautiful all over? Why me, Kitty! I’m one of the prettiest girls at Wayside, or so I have heard. I came to Wayside from another shelter that was low on space. Moving around can be scary, but I am so glad to be here, safe and snug, while I wait for my forever person or people to walk through the doors, find me and fall in love!

When I had my Felineality assessment here at Wayside, they told me I am Personal Assistant. That means I am moderately brave in new situations, and I love and need the companionship of humans. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, I will want to be right by your side, ready to lend a beautiful fluffy paw. You will wonder how you ever got along without me!

Love, Kitty

Hi everyone, my name is Emerald! Yes, I do believe I was named that as I am a true gem of a gal!  I was brought in as a stray, and am so happy to be in a place where the nice people take good care of me, but what I dream of is a home of my very own.

Some words I hear people say to describe me are: super Sweet, friendly, social, and smart. I think those are all true for sure! I am even currently being used in a Clicker Training class here at Wayside and am doing very well. My teacher is very proud of me! I also love when humans praise me as that makes me feel really special. I am a great size at around 60 pounds, so I should fit well in the car, on road trips or even on your bed if you would like that, I know I would!

I walk very nicely on leash and hope we can take nice evening strolls around town together. Please come meet me soon, bring the whole family (dogs too)

I will be here waiting for you with wagging tail

Love, Emerald

Waif Wednesday

Happy Waif Wednesday! We’d like to introduce you to our fabulous Waifs of the Week: Buck, Gio, and Sandstorm. These three handsome fellas are so ready to find their forever families!

Hello humans! I’m a 3-year-old boy named Buck, and I’m on the lookout for a new family! First of all, how can you resist my face?! Am I not the cutest, happiest thing you’ve ever seen? And I’ve got the sweetest and friendliest personality to match. I’m a playful guy and would love to find a home that would like to teach me all kinds of fun games to play together. I’ve never had any training before, but I’m super smart and pick up on new things really fast.

I’m curious about the world around me and love to explore and sniff out new situations. I enjoy going on walks on my leash, too. At times I might start out just a little bit hesitant and may lean on your leg for some extra confidence. But it just takes me a minute to warm up, and then I’m ready to roll!

If I sound like the perfect pup for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Buck

Hello there! My name is Gio, and I’m a handsome black house panther with stunning golden eyes and a beautiful, glossy coat. I was found as a stray. I was pretty shy and scared when I first came to Wayside. But lucky for me, Wayside has a program called TABBY where staff and volunteers help timid cats like me become more comfortable around people. You know what? I love being around people! If you pet me, I will reward you with some velvety headbutts to your hand. It’s like I am petting you! I also love to just roll around while you talk to me. It helps me concentrate on what you are saying. Even better, I would love to snuggle up on your lap while we are conversing. It turns out I am quite the lap cat!

When I had my Felineality assessment here at Wayside, they told me I am an Executive. That means I am moderately brave in new situations, and I enjoy spending time with people. However, I am not clingy, and I can entertain myself should the need arise.

If I sound like the perfect kitty for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Gio

Hi there, I’m Sandstorm! I want to be your dog. How does that sound? I’m such a nice boy. I’m a perfect combination of active and playful yet sweet and affectionate. I’m a handsome, 3-year-old boy, and I came to Wayside as a transfer from another shelter that was running short on space. Now I just need to find you, and then I’ll be set.

I’m a curious guy, so I like to explore and check out every inch of my surroundings. I’m friendly and I love getting attention from you. I can’t wait to sit with you and listen to you tell me about your day as you pet me. I’m relaxed on my leash, so I’d love to go for daily walks with you. I’m an athletic dog and I will need regular exercise to keep me happy, healthy, and calm.

I already know how to sit, and I’d love to learn more cool stuff, so please teach me! I’ll make an excellent student. I like toys, especially tennis balls. I’ve recently been learning doggie social skills. I’m figuring out how to play together and communicate. I find I prefer laidback dogs like myself. You can feel free to bring your other dog out to meet me, if you like, to make sure we’re a good fit for each other. Just please stay patient with me and give me a little time to settle in and figure out my new routine with you.

Will you choose me? If I sound like the perfect pup for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Sandstorm

Waif Wednesday

Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our three fabulous Waifs of the Week: Andy, Adam, and Chaps. One of our original Waifs of the Week, Kit, got adopted, so Chaps is moving into the spotlight. These three guys are so excited to find their forever families!

Hello there! I’m an adorable little kitten! I am a bundle of fun in a small package and I am so ready for a new family to call my own. Kittens are so much fun and boy do we love to play! I will need some work on training but we will have a lot of fun along the way. Being such a youngster I will definitely need both physical and mental stimulation to help me stay well rounded. Give me some fun and interactive toys in the mix and we will have the time of our lives! I think I should also tell you that I love to cuddle. Curl up with me and I will purr to show you just how happy I am; cuddles are my favorite!

If you are looking for a new buddy to bring you smiles and cheer, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Andy

Hi there. My name is Adam, and I am pleased to meet you! I am two years old and so ready to find my people!

I am a high energy boy looking for a high energy family that likes to be active. I am playful and friendly and love, love, love attention. I can be goofy and wiggly, but can also sit still for a while. I am looking for a committed family who will spend time training me and giving me lots of mental and physical exercise. I would be a good addition to a family that loves outdoor activities like hiking and walking.

I know that the right family is just waiting to come and get me. Come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Adam

Hi there! I’m Chaps, a handsome gray boy with a cute pink nose. I am front-declawed. I came to Wayside from another shelter that was low on space. I am happy to be here at Wayside, where I’m in the perfect position to meet you!

I can be just a little shy at first, but I warm up pretty quickly. I enjoy being petted, and I especially love having my head scratched. That feels so good! I do prefer short petting sessions, though. Sometimes you can have too much of a good thing! I do enjoy playing with toys, especially wand toys. I sure hope my new people will play with me!

You may have noticed that I am 10 years old, but that is just middle age for a cat. If you take good care of me, we can plan to enjoy many happy, healthy years together. I just know that the rest of my life will be the best of my life, especially if I get to spend it with someone wonderful like you.

If I sound like the perfect kitty companion for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Chaps

Waif Wednesday

Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our three fabulous Waifs of the Week: Dino, Kit, and Bruno. All three of these cuties are on the hunt for their forever families.

Hi there, I’m Dino! I’m a 2-year-old sweetheart with a delightful personality. I originally came to Wayside as a stray. I’m a wonderful companion!  I have a nice amount of energy without being too much. Here at Wayside, I’m what they call a Green List Runner. That means that I make a great running buddy because I stay focused and I keep a nice pace as I run. I also walk really well on my leash without much pulling.

I like to look at you as you talk to me, tilt my head, and try to figure out what you’re thinking and saying. I do this because I want to make you happy! I want to be your special dog that you think about for the rest of your life. Sometimes I just feel like hanging out, and during those times, I’m a friendly, affectionate dog who loves attention from you. Sometimes it takes me a few minutes to warm up around new people, but if you’ll just stay patient with me and give me a little time, I will quickly become friends.

I can’t wait to be your dog! I think about you every day and the happy life I know we’ll have together. I’m waiting patiently for you to come and meet me so I can show you what a good boy I am.

Come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Dino

Hi! Are you here looking for your family, too? Then I should introduce myself! My name is Kit, and I’m a 4-year-old little lady. What I might lack in size I make up for in purr-sonality. (All puns aside, I really am a great purr-er!)

Receiving pets and cheek rubs are some of my very favorite things, and it’s no secret to anyone who spends a few minutes with me. Sometimes, when I’m really happy, I might roll over and let you see my beautiful belly, knead the air with my delightfully dainty paws, or simply stretch out and put my head into your hand. I also think I’m an excellent napping buddy, and would love to give it a try with you some wonderfully lazy afternoon.

I hope you’ll come and see me in person soon. The people here at Wayside are great, but I can’t wait to go home with my forever family!

I also have a cool video! Check it out here.

Come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Kit

Hi there, I’m Bruno! I’m happy, goofy, and playful. I still sort of feel like a puppy, even though I’m 2 years old. Life is meant to be celebrated, so that’s what I like to do, all day, every day! I came to Wayside as a transfer from a partner shelter when they ran out of space.

I’m already crate trained and mostly housebroken, too. I don’t really like being cooped up in a crate all day, but as long as I get plenty of exercise to wear me out, I can deal with it. I’m a work in progress, but I love learning! Currently, I’m staying in a foster home. The sky is the limit with what I can learn, and I’d love to have a job to do, so I hope to experience a lifetime of training and improving myself.

I absolutely love everyone I meet! I get so excited to jump up and say hello in a friendly sort of way. You can teach me not to be jumpy though…it’s just my instinct to show my enthusiasm for now. I love to play with my toys and stay busy and keep you laughing with my silly antics. I hope you like that about me! My life is all about having fun! I hope we have a lifetime of adventures and fantastic memories together. I want to be your partner for whatever comes our way.

Contact Wayside Adoptions at (816)986-4426 to meet me!

Love, Bruno

Waif Wednesday

Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our fabulous Waifs of the Week: Archer, Gumbo, and Scooby. These three lovebugs can’t wait to find their forever families!

Hey! I’m Archer! I’m a shy sweetie pie with big eyes and an even bigger heart. I’m 2 years old, and I came to Wayside as a transfer from a partner shelter when they ran out of space, and now, I just can’t wait to find my forever family!

I’m kind of fearful and timid when I first meet someone, but don’t you worry! I’ll warm up to you with some time to sniff out the situation and make sure everything is safe and ready to go. I just need a patient person who will love me as I learn! I love people, but sometimes I get scared and don’t like being touched, restrained, or grabbed when I’m not expecting it. I’m making lots of progress thanks to my friends here at the shelter, but for now, I would do best in a home without kids under 5 years. But like I said, I do love people! I love playing and getting pets, just on my own terms. I’m pretty good at walking on a leash, but I don’t know any commands yet. I’m very food motivated, though, so I know that with your help, I’ll be super duper smart and on top of my game in no time!

If I sound like the perfect pup for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Archer

Pleased to meet you! My name is Gumbo. It suits me because I’m warm and will add spice to your life! I’m a big, rugged, handsome buff-colored tabby with the most adorable baby face. I like toys, but really, I just want to be loved on. I’ve been told that I’m easy to love because I’m so cute and sweet!

My favorite thing to do here at Wayside is lounge around in my bed. I like to curl up in it sometimes. Other times I like to stretch out and cock my head a little, especially while someone is talking to me. It shows that I’m listening to everything you have to say to me. I’m a great listener, and your secrets are safe with me!

If you are looking for a big, adorable teddy bear of a cat, please come to Wayside and ask for me!

Love, Gumbo

Hi there, friends! My name is Scooby, and like Scooby-Doo, I would love to be part of your gang and go on adventures together. I’m a smiley guy, with brown and white fur and freckles on my nose. I came to Wayside from another shelter, and moving has been pretty scary for me, but everyone here is so nice. They want me to be as happy and healthy as possible so I can go home with my fur-ever family!

I love meeting new people and dogs! My new friends here say that I’m a friendly sweetie pie. The only command I know right now is “sit,” but I’m very treat (Scooby Snack) motivated, and I’m excited to learn some new tricks with my new family. I walk really well on a leash, too. I can’t wait to get started on being best friends fur-ever!

If I sound like the perfect pup for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Scooby

Waif Wednesday

Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our adorable Waifs of the Week: Bruce, Bell, and Pancha. One of our original Waifs of the Week, Syrus, was adopted, so Pancha is stepping up to the plate. These three cuties can’t wait to go home!

Hey there! My name is Bruce, and I am one handsome dog, don’t you think? I am mostly black, but have brown and white in my coat too. I am a big boy, weighing about 70 pounds. I’m over two years old, so I’m probably as big as I’m going to get.

I have lots of energy and love to play, especially with balls and other toys that you can throw! I’m such a good chaser. If the folks here at Wayside would ever let me loose, I’d sure chase all the squirrels they have around here! I walk pretty well on a leash, but just make sure to have a firm grip on it if one of those silly squirrels crosses our path. I’m looking for a pretty active family who’d like to have a four-legged companion on all of their adventures.

Does that sound like you? If so, please come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love and kisses, Bruce

Thanks for reading about me! My name is Bell, and I’m a beautiful, regal-looking, soft gray tabby girl.

I’m a high-energy gal who loves to play. My favorite toy is a Cat Charmer, which is a long piece of fabric on a stick. When you wave it around for me, I’ll have lots of fun chasing it around! When we are done, I will carry it around the house in my mouth. That way I won’t forget where I put it! I sure hope my new family will play with me every day. It will help me burn off energy, and it’s a great way for us to bond with each other while having fun.

I also love it when people talk to me. I’m a great listener, and I will probably weigh in with my own meowed opinions from time to time as well. I enjoy being pet on my head and neck. I can get a little overstimulated, so it would be best if my adopter is a cat-savvy person who understands cat personalities and behaviors. Just so you know, I’d prefer to go to a home with no dogs or other cats. I promise to be the only four-legged friend you will need!

Anything else you’d like to know about me? Just come to Wayside and ask me!

Love, Bell

Hello, I’m Pancha! I’m so happy you’re taking the time to learn about me! I was transferred to Wayside after my last place ran out of room.  I am a larger dude at 90 pounds so I can understand that.  I am so glad I am here because I just know my family will come to adopt me soon!

I am a super fluffy Great Pyrenees-type fella, and I love to explore the world around me. I’m a great leash walker, and I enjoy walking around the nice trails they have here. I’m a super smart pup––I know the command “sit” already, and I’m so ready to learn more. I’m only 2 years old, so I can’t wait to enjoy life with you!

I do request that you bring the whole family, including dogs, to meet me before you bring me home so I can make sure that we’ll all be buddies. Believe it or not, I am even more stunning in person, so come to Wayside and ask to meet me soon!

Love, Pancha

Waif Wednesday

Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our absolutely amazing Waifs of the Week: Fluffy, Kenny, and Daisy Mae. One of our original Waifs of the Week, Maurie, found his forever family, so Daisy Mae is stepping up to the plate. These three cuties are so excited to find their families!

Hello there! My name is Fluffy. I am an adorable 8-year-old blue tuxedo cat with gorgeous golden eyes. I have a great personality, and I promise to be your very best friend! I came to Wayside when another shelter ran out of space. The staff here took amazing care of me, and the doctor checked me out. They found that I am FIV positive, which is really no big deal––it just means that my immune system is somewhat compromised. So, it’s important that I’m an indoor-only kitty and that I have regular vet checkups.

Right now, I’m living in a foster home. Man, life in my foster home is grand! My foster mom has a couple kiddos and big dogs that I love to hang out with. Foster mom says she loves how sweet and snuggly I am! I absolutely adore being pet and staying close, I really hope you’re looking for a cuddly cat like me. Now that I feel like I have a village of support, I feel so ready to find my forever family and home!

Contact Wayside Adoptions at (816)986-4426 and ask to meet me.

Love, Fluffy

Hi there, I’m Kenny! You’ve probably heard of me––I’m kind of famous around these parts. I’m a handsome, 2-year-old bundle of energy with a gorgeous coat and a lovable personality. I came to Wayside as a transfer from the SPCA in Louisiana when they were running short on space. I’m game for anything, so I was happy to relocate to the Midwest. I’m quite popular here and I’ve managed to get involved in everything Wayside has to offer. What I long for though is a home and family of my very own!

I’ve joined the Wayside Runner’s Program, where I’m a green list runner, meaning I’m focused, I keep a nice pace, and I make an overall great running partner. My friends here gave me a harness for walks, and now I’m pretty much a pro––I never pull! I will need daily exercise in my life to help me stay happy, healthy, and calm. And besides the physical activity that I crave, it’s important to me to be able to use my brain. Please give me jobs to do and teach me what you expect from me. The sky is the limit with what I can learn!

I’m also an affectionate dog who loves attention from you. I like to get my belly rubbed and I like to curl up next to you to give you sweet kisses and cuddle. I also enjoy playing with toys and I can entertain myself with them if you’re busy with other stuff. Bottom line: I’m a fun, goofy, adventurous little dog who finds joy in everything I do!

Come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Kenny

Hi there, I’m Daisy Mae! I’m an adorable, 2-year-old sweetheart with beautiful fur and a bright smile. I came to Wayside after my last shelter ran out of space, and now it’s time for me to take the next step and find the people that I can call my family.

I am a loyal, affectionate, loving friend, once I get to know you. I’m shy and hesitant at first though and I just need a little extra time to know I can trust you. I’m looking for someone who can be patient and calm with me and gently praise me when I’m a good girl. I’m smart and I pick up on things quickly, so with a routine, I’ll feel settled in no time.

I’m a member of the Wayside Runner’s Group, so I’ll enjoy going for walks or runs with you! I prefer a quiet neighborhood or walking trails where I know what to expect, and I do pretty well on my leash. Noisy, high traffic areas make me nervous though and I’d love to have my very own fenced yard to relax and play in. I will need a home without other dogs, but I promise to show you so much love that I’ll be enough!

I also have a cool video! Check it out here.

Come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Daisy Mae

Waif Wednesday

Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our three awesome Waifs of the Week: Athena, Herb, and Hobbs. These three lovebugs can’t wait to find their people!

Hey there, I’m Athena! I’m a 10-month-old sweetie pie, and I can’t wait to find my forever family. I may still be a puppy, but I’m very mature, promise!

My favorite activity is exploring –– outside, inside, you name it. I don’t like being bored, and I’m very curious about the big, beautiful world around me. If you’re looking for a best friend, I’m your girl. I’m also super smart. I love working for treats, I’m housebroken, I’m a great eater, and I already know “sit” and “down.” How impressive is that?

While I’m a very social pup, I get along best with adult humans and other dogs. I’ve had some experience at dog parks, and let me tell you, I’m a pro. I’m great on a leash, even though sometimes I might pull when I get excited. I just want to have fun!

I do request that you bring the whole family to meet me before you bring me home. I just want to make sure we can all be friends!

If I sound like the perfect pup for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love, Athena

Hi there! My name is Herb, and it’s so nice to meet you!

I am a handsome 2-year-old guy with the softest, fluffiest fur you can imagine. I am proud of my fur, and I’ll sit happily on a lap while someone lovingly brushes it for me. Speaking of laps, I love them! I’m known around Wayside for being a sweet, loving lap cat. I’m a big fan of people, and I’d make a great sidekick for someone who is looking for a new best friend. I also enjoy watching birds and talking to them through the window, playing with wand toys, and eating treats. I’m a simple guy who enjoys the simple pleasures in life.

If I sound like the perfect kitty for you, come to Wayside and ask for me!

Love, Herb

Hi there, my name is Hobbs!

I came to wonderful Wayside a little while ago on a transfer when my last place needed more room. That’s OK, because I know I will find my family very soon here! The people are super kind and like to show off my MANY talents. Some of my talents include my handsome face, of course––I was born with that, though! I also know the commands “look,” “sit,” “down,” and “shake!”  They say that qualifies me as a very smart fella. I walk nicely on a leash, and I am motivated by both treats and toys, so I hope you have some of those in my new home.

I am 65 pounds of solid lovable hunk and can’t wait to meet you. I do request that you bring the whole family, including dogs, to meet me before you take me home. I just want to make sure we can all be buddies!

If I sound like the perfect pup for you, come to Wayside and ask to meet me!

Love always and tail wags for days, Hobbs
