Hello There! My name is Sir Purrington!
Man oh man, I am SO thrilled you happened upon my bio today, because I know by the end of it you will be head over heels in love with me! At least I hope so. I am a 6-year-old, semi plump, dashingly handsome, squishy cheeked kitty. I believe I’ve been perfectly made to cuddle and love, so that’s all I want to do with my time! Although I could tell you about how cute and snuggly I am all day, I’m sure you want to know some of my background. I used to live in a house, but my owner moved away and abandoned me and my brother Pancake. A nice neighbor lady took us in and brought us to Wayside. We were both so scared. We had always known the comfort of a home, so we didn’t know what to think or feel.
Our new friend assured us that Wayside’s volunteers and staff would take us in like their own and help us find a new family that would never leave us behind. So we put our trust in her and tried to fit in. I count my kitty blessings every day for being brought to such a wonderful place. Pancake was adopted right away, but you see, I was in pretty bad shape medically when I came in. That didn’t stop them from loving me and helping me become the best, and healthiest cat I could be!
They treated me for many things, and found out that I’m FIV positive. They assured me that FIV is no big deal. It just means that my immune system is somewhat compromised, so it’s important that I live inside from now on, get good yummy food, and have regular vet check-ups once I find my new home. According to them, this is something any new family will give me anyways. If I didn’t have the wonderful vet clinic staff at Wayside to help pull me through all of this, I really don’t know what would have happened to me. As if all of this isn’t already enough, a wonderful volunteer decided to take me into her home as her foster kitty until I find my forever family. She helped take care of me while I was sick, and wanted to make sure I found the very best home now that I’m healthy! She said I am an amazing cat, which of course I already knew, but it certainly is very nice to hear! Foster mom always jokes with me about how I never stop purring, but it’s really just because I’m always so happy now.
One of my favorite pass-times is snuggling the day away with her so we can chat and snooze. I really hope you like chatting, because if you take me home we’re going to do a lot of it! Don’t worry though, I’m great at keeping secrets! I feel I would do best with a family that is around a lot of the time. I really love people, so I don’t like being alone that much. I also think I’d be fine living with a mellow dog. Unfortunately, since I am FIV positive, and my interactions with other cats is unknown for the most part I need a family without other feline friends. Don’t worry though, I have plenty of love to give so you won’t miss out!
Really, all I want is a family that will love me until my last day. I will love you back with all of my heart, and never ever abandon you, I just want the same back. If you think you’d like having a loveable, sweet, snuggly, talkative cat, please call Wayside so you can meet me! As soon as you see my face, you’ll know that we’ll be best friends for life. Whisker Kisses, and plenty of purrs, Sir Purrington
